You can have two layer protection for your bludit using this method. You have to be careful and do it only if you understand it well.

1. Create a folder "admin" in bludit installation folder root.
2. Password protect the "admin" folder you created using htaccess.
3. Now you have two sets of user/password in your record.
4. Login only with this URL path https://yoursite/admin/dashboard
5. Login from https://yoursite/admin/ will not work.
6. Login using Firefox browser for best security.
7. When you visit Dashboard URL a Popup will Appear.
8. Use the htaccess user/password on popup window.
9. Now you will see the BluDit Login Screen.
10. Use your BluDit user/password to Login to Admin.  
11. Both Passwords can be saved in firefox for ease.
12. Use a master password in Firefox to protect data.
